There are still cabins to be picked...2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 (they added two cabins since last year!) so feel free to pick one pleaseTonight is the share about what God did in you this week sharing time, and we are finished saturday at noon...pictures to follow soon. Its been a great week...speaking was much easier around this time...its funny but i feel different up here...i love camp...pines man alive. Its making me think about what i want to be doing with my time...i think perhaps another part time job, but in a halfway house or something, i dont' know but i'm going to start looking, because i feel most alive when I'm telling people they are important, or loved or that they have potential...yeah...so thats the update...possible new job, but of course...starbucks too...just more part time...i want to invest more in others...maybe i just need to go all out at the bucks...and start investing more there...we'll see...anyway..camps gooood. I'll be going home to penticton for a couple days then booking it back out for work (opening!) on wednesday morning!

Waaaaiiit for it....

So YEAH

So the reason i have this freaked out face right now is because i'm not prepared for what might come my way...i'm going to be a camp speaker for none other than....dun dun DAHHHH Junior high kids! but really, I'm pumped...i actually love junior highers so i'm pumped...however i haven't asked anyone to pray for me yet...so if you would like to be a part (a large part) of what God is doing in some young person's life...please pray for me. I need you... i say that in all seriousness. There are 10 Cabins...Pick one. When you have picked one...Post that you have cabin number 1 or so on...If you pick a cabin...please pray for them daily if possible. I promise to give you an update on each cabin at the end of the week...you can watch your prayers in action...if i have time, which is fairly possible, i will blog mid week to give you an update, and relay more requests. Also...if you could pray for me, specifically that the SPIRIT OF GOD WOULD BE ON ME STRONGLY AND THAT I WOULD SPEAK HIS WORDS AND THAT THE ENEMY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK. I just want each kid to have a chance to hear the truth about the world, themselves adn this God I've come to fall in love with...I really need your help for that. Thank you so much...please just take a minute right now...or a sharpie to your hand (or face if you are hardcore) to remember to pray for me...face...do it....then take a picture and send it to me...hahha thanks so much Posted by Picasa

Ice Cream and WINNER OF COOKIE CONTEST

So...one of these things is not like the other...haha i love this picture. We all had a barbeque...because Inge (between Kathy and I) came to visit from Germany. Dennis (4th from right) came up from Lethbridge too. Then we went for Icecream...very busy place that night so we had to chill quite a while and of course once i got a little bored...out whipped the camera... AAAAAAANnnnnnndddd AMY FORREST although she is a big cheater...either because i forgot i told her or she is prophetic was correct in saying that i think I will be going back to school for none other than....LAW. Who knows for sure...but i think its healthy to have a game plan...Jesus can go ahead and change it but that's the plan...I'd do Political Sciences undergrad then hopefully after third year get into law...dang what happens when a lawyer and a doctor live together? : ) Posted by Picasa

Return of the Leper....i burnt!

So here are some pictures from my Hawaii adventure. Sorry they aren't neccesarily in any special order, but enjoy....one quick story i have to tell...i swam with sea turtles...at first i jsut saw a little head pop up in the distance and before i knew it...and after i had swam full tilt towards it....i was swimming above adn around a turtle...the waves were huge that day and the water really cloudy and at one point i counted 3 possibly 4 turtles all within a 'stones throw' of me and each other...now being as there is a fine for touching a sea turtle in hawaii (5000 dollars to be specific) i will keep you all in suspense as to whether or not i touched one...if you are adventurous and a little bit mental for sea life...i did...if you are wondering why there is such a steep fine for touching turtles and about how it could possibly damage the turtles fragile exhistence...i certainly did not... Posted by Picasa

Sandy Beach

My romeo

Imagine with me, walking up and down the beach, bombarded from every direction by buskers, asking for your every penny, or some psyco storm trooper, 'if you don't proclaim you love jesus loudly..you must not love him' types and drums and angry painters (although there were many good painters) so in all the clatter and hum of wikiki beach there was a man of sheer and utter loveliness...playing a violin...for free...not to mention he was playing quite well...kind of sad and lonely sounding, but the lonely that makes me think his wife passed on and he misses her but has lovley memories of her and that's why he plays by the beach for free...because she would love that...that's the kind of sad music he played. Happy memory sad music. Posted by Picasa

How we bought our groceries...

ok...so there is this store called Hilo Hattie, which is filled with all kinds of kitchy stuff from Hawaii and lots and lots of hawiian print shirts....secondly...there is a free shuttle that will pick unsuspecting tourists up and return them to the beach giving a psuedo tour of honolulo if the said unsuspecting tourists promise to go into Hilo Hattie...which brings us to the brilliant Idea of hitching the hilo hattie shuttle...and running to the costco across the street, brilliant....truly brilliant... Posted by Picasa

The Folks Visited

It was sweet...we chilled, they purchased lovely things like a fan! and patio chairs, we went to movies (xmen 3 which i thoroughly enjoyed), went up the calgary tower and was legitimately scared standing on that glass floor...yeah...here's the action shot of fear when i finally stood 100% on the glass....AHHHH. oye. we ate at Catch, which is a great little seafood place on stephans and man that was good....and affordable since i certainly had no part in paying! Its funny...but when they left i nearly had a nervous breakdown...i didn't understand why it was so hard for me either...there i was freaking out because my 'mummy' was going back home? was i a freak? Why was my parents leaving all of a sudden such an event for me? Well I'm going to venture that it must have had something to do with the fact that i am finally growing up...leaving for bethany and the internship the last 6 years wasn't a big deal because I was leaving...not them. This time, THEY left ME and now i'm left to deal with reality...i am no longer my parents responsibility...although they bail me out often enough...its time to cut that cord...I sobbed uncontrollably...it was ridiculous. Posted by Picasa

The most anticipated movie of my life...

seriously...this movie looks freaking hilarious...actually unbelievable...woo....and i forget the name, would reccognize it if i heard it...but maybe nathan could look up the trailer and post it on his blog...nathan...the part where he is praying at the dinner table...oye killer. but yes...this is my mom's face in there..isn't she cute? So i jokingly say to Kathleen...hey hammy get in there...and kathy who has great respect for herself says' heck no' then off my mom goes! I love that woman. Posted by Picasa
